Getting Styled with your
Personal Sales Associate
Bianca Getting Amy Styled
Bianca, at our local Maurices, got right to work finding out what styles Amy was looking for. She started pulling lots of options and got Amy all set up in a reserved dressing room.
Mariah Scouting out Styles for Julie
Julie was looking for new blouses and tops to brighten up her Spring wardrobe. Mariah, from our local Maurices, found out what colors, size and styles work for Julie and started finding her lots of great options to try on.

Getting Styled with Custom Outfits
When I arrived, I asked Bianca and Mariah to pull 3 Spring work outfits for me to try on. Incidentally, I LOVE having the sales associates pick out outfit ideas for me. I always go away with a brand new look that I would have never picked out for myself.
Getting Styled Outfit #1
Tulip Hem Sweater Dress,
Blue Jean Jacket and Strappy Heels
First Spring outfit I tried on was this Tulip Hem Sweater Dress in Smokey Purple. We added a blue Jean jacket and paired it with these Erin Strappy Criss Cross heels in a neutral mushroom color.
Tulip Hem Sweater Dress
The fit of this sweater dress was just right. It was not too tight, or too loose. The tulip hem detail adds interest and style to an otherwise simple sweater dress. I don’t have a lot of purple in my wardrobe and this is a dress I would have never picked out for myself. Ironically, I loved it so much that it went home in my bag!
Erin Strappy Criss Cross Heels
These Erin Strappy heels come in a great neutral color. The back zipper makes them easy to get on and off. Even with the 3″ block heel, I felt comfortable walking around in them. Just need to get a pedicure!
Traditional Medium Wash Denim Jacket
Who doesn’t have a blue jean jacket? Raise your hand! If you don’t have one, you NEED to get one. Consequently, I wear my blue jean jacket several times a month. It is a wardrobe MUST HAVE. This one in a medium wash is a great find and a nice fit.
Getting Styled Outfit #2
Getting Styled in DenimFlex™ Jegging , Olive
Criss-Cross Tank, Blue Jean Jacket & Strappy Heels
Next Spring outfit personally styled for me is going to be great for wear. One of my favoirite styles at Maurices are their DenimFlex™ jeggings. I have them in several colors . Bianca picked out this pretty olive floral tank and we topped it off with the blue jean jacket again! See how versatile a blue jean jacket can be?
DenimFlex™ Andalusia Night Jeggings
Maurices DenimFlex™ jeggings come in lots of colors. Wine, teal, black, magenta, slate, mulberry and more! I have linked them all in our Shopping Carousel at the top of the the post. Also, they come in both regular and plus. Right now some of the colors are 50% off making them only $17 AND the newer Spring colors are B1G1 50% off!
Caravan Olive Floral Lattice Neck Tank
Another color I would have not picked out for myself is olive green. But to my surprise, I really liked this Cloud Olive color with the dark navy jeggings and the blue jean jacket. The lattice neck detail is really fun. As a matter of fact, I love tanks and sleevless blouses for layering under cardigans, blazers and OF COURSE a blue jean jacket!
Getting Styled Outfit #2
Getting Styled in a Blazer, Pull on Skinny Pants,
Pink Foam Blouse & Strappy Heels!
Lastly, I tried on my FAVORITE outfit personally styled for me. Pink, olive and skinny pull on pants would NOT have been pieces I would have ever picked out. Admittedly, I love this outfit and can’t wait to wear it to work. Considering it is a bit early to wear the strappy heels, I plan to wear this outfit with a pair of ankle booties. On the whole, pink is a color that does not make an appearance in my closet. Even so, I am starting to embrace it and am adding more of it to my staples.
Solid Open Front Blazer in Olive Stone
We can never have too many blazers! I’m telling you having blazers to layer over your tanks, dresses and blouses multiplies the number of outfit options you have in your closet. Therefore, this lightweight, fitted blazer is going to be so nice for Spring & Summer. I can see myself wearing it over Summer dresses, skirts and over sleeveless blouses. By the way, I am wearing a small. Yet even with my longer waist, it is a nice length. As with all of Maurices styles, they come in regular and plus!
Stretch Pull-on Skinny Ankle Pants in
Denim Criss Cross Dye
When these were in my dressing room to try on, I almost refused! Truthfully, I am self conscious of my chubby knees and larger calves. With the support of both Bianca and Mariah, I tried them on and let them take my picture! Considering I was wearing a size medium that did not look that bad. Since I want to wear these to work and feel comfortable in my own skin, I ended up buying a size large. I have already washed them at home and they fit perfect! Just a bit looser around my knees and with the 75% rayon 22% nylon 3% spandex stretch fabric they won’t fall down or get all baggy on me.
Floral Print Pink Foam Zip Front Short Sleeve Blouse
Although this lightweight pink foral blouse needs a cami under it, I loved the v-neckline with zipper detail and capped sleeves. In fact, this pink is such a pretty color and is going to go with so many pieces I already own. Navy, grey, black, maroon and more!
